The first of these was a present for my grand daughters pictured below and not included in the sale (trust me the novelty of their company would wear off quickly). The box is 36” long by 24” high and 18”

The box is 36” long by 24” high and 18” front to back. It can accomodate a lot of toys. Kids love to climb over and hide in this and, who knows with training, they may even put their toys away in it. The lid stays are high quality German made Hafele with adjustable tension so that the lid does not slam down on little fingers.

There are hand openings along the front and at the ends, these serve dual puposes; lifting/handling and if playful little Johnny imprisons his darling little sister in the box she can breathe fresh air and you will hear her screams. Made from 3/8 inch Baltic Birch plywood and finished with three coats of Benjamin Moore Advance paint and an overcoal of floor varnish. I wondered just how strong the coopered lid is so before I installed the lid on the first of these boxes I had my 250 pound buddy jump up and down on it – our verdict is the lid is adequately strong as in he did no damage!
